BIO
Curtis Valentine (b. 1995) is a London-based painter whose concepts merge the social constructs of the British landscape of escapism with application of paint. A vibrant dialogue of the human psyche with electric hues. In his recent work, the canvas becomes a personal journal, an intimate space where fragments of memories and experiences intersect with conversations of generational habits.
Valentine reimagines scenes from his everyday life as though they were nostalgic stills, constructing a nonlinear narrative that parallels a moment in time. These painted diaries function as storyboards through which the artist explores identity, physicality and essences of tradition.
